THE JAMES LOUDON MEMORIAL TROPHY

In 1976 the family of the late James Loudon, OBE, a co-founder of our Society, donated a magnificent silver cup in his memory which has become known as the James Loudon Memorial Trophy. In accordance with the family’s wishes the trophy is presented to the winner of the Scottish Invitational Caber Toss each year at the Highland Gathering and Festival organized by the United Scottish Society at Costa Mesa. The winner’s name is engraved on the base of the trophy and the Society presents a smaller replica for the winner to retain.

THE KIMBERLEY CAMERON AWARD

This splendid perpetual trophy, a large fluted bowl atop a silver stand whose base is inscribed with past winners was made possible in 1993 through a generous bequest from the late Wesley C. Cameron, a past president. It was named in honor of his daughter, Kimberley, herself a Western Regional Champion. It is presented yearly to the over eighteen-year category winner at the Western Regional Championships of Highland Dancing, within the United States Closed Inter-Regional Championships held during the Costa Mesa Games.
